Ed Majkowski is an artist who uses oil paint in an unconventional way to explore how resilient people become a source of strength for others. Taking inspiration from the rugged New England landscape, he presents a reality that juxtaposes what should be the soothing effect of nature with its unequivocal brutality. While equating this to the strain of a quickly changing social outlook in which we are too overwhelmed to be present, Ed’s paintings are a catalyst for those who have worked through the noise and achieved focus in their lives to help others do the same.

Since its founding in 1936, the Brick Store Museum has presented local history, art and cultures through exhibitions and educational programs for every generation. We share stories to connect with our past, understand our present, and inspire our future. With over 55,000 artifacts relating to Kennebunk history, an active archaeology program, and continued learning about our past, there’s always something happening at the Museum. Open Tuesday – Sunday year-round, the Museum offers weekly programs and tours, rotating exhibitions, a research archive, and a Museum Store.
